I was very lucky to be able to second shoot this wedding with the fabulous Mike Reed of Mike Reed Photo. One of my favorite things about weddings is when couples really customize it to themselves. This wedding was one of those where the details were fabulous but the wedding was out of the box. First, they were married at the brides parents home on a large back patio and the reception was held in downtown Austin at Malaga Tapas & Bar. I like the restaurant idea but for people who do not want the big dance reception—this provided an intimate reception for family and friends. Not to mention amazing food at this location. One thing I love that they did was carry a customized monogram from the invitation to the wedding day with customize shirts for the bride & groom, napkins, cuff links, and a sign on the door of the reception venue. Also, the favors were reusable shopping bags which is great–affordable, environmental and the guests will all use them. I loved the look of the restaurant so I may have included way too many photos but like I said –I love the intimate feel of this reception. The ladies at 36th Street Events really did an amazing job.
